Position Description:

ProMedica is seeking an experienced major gifts officer to play a key role in advancing the growing philanthropic goals across the healthcare system.
The major gifts officer is expected to develop and manage a portfolio of 150 donor/prospects, each with an estimated capacity to give $10,000 or more. In coordination with the ProMedica philanthropy team, the major gifts officer is responsible for building strategic relationships between the people in his/her portfolio and the comprehensive campaign needs of the system.

Position Responsibilities:

• The major gifts officer will spend 90% of their time meeting with donors
and prospects.
• They will hold, on average, 10 meetings per week with donor prospects.
• They will submit at least 48 qualified gift proposals to donor prospects annually.
• They will record all donor/prospect calls, meetings, proposals and other actions in The Raiser’s Edge software in a timely manner.
• They will attend ProMedica and ProMedica Foundation events that include donors and prospects.
• The major gifts officer will be supported by a prospect research and administrative team.

Basic Qualifications:

ProMedica desires candidates with 5 years of experience in face-to-face fundraising, sales or business development.
