AFP Greater Detroit Mentor Program

Are you NEW to the Field of Fund Development?

Are you a seasoned professional looking to share your experience?

AFP can help!


"Mentorship AFP"* provides assistance and guidance for those who are just beginning their fundraising careers.

Participating mentee's are assigned to a fundraising professional who will serve as their personal mentor.

In addition to the guidance, encouragement and support from their mentor, mentee's are invited to participate in four interactive conference calls lead by senior level fund professionals.

These seminar-style teleconferences will include topics such as:

  • Annual Giving
  • Special Events
  • Major Gifts
  • Making the Ask
  • Stewardship and more!

The best part is that the cost of this program is included in your AFP Membership- There is no additional expense! 

If you are interested in participating in the 2013 Mentorship AFP program, please complete and return the Mentee or Mentor applications before April 1st. Space is limited!
